Food Hygiene Course - Legislation, Bacteriology, Contamination & Storage

Our Food Hygiene course covers all the basics on food preparation, regulations, precautions and care when preparing food for others. It is designed to meet the requirements of various regulations in food preparation and health and safety. The course covers regulations, preparation, storage, infections, cross contamination, reporting, PPE, date marks, reporting illness and basic first aid in the kitchen. The certificate is valid for 3 years and can be taken online or in the classroom with one of our approved instructors.

Course Information

This course is aimed at providing learners with an awareness of Food Safety in Catering at Level 2.  The Food Safety in Catering course is designed to incorporate the new requirements in Food Safety.  This course is aimed at those wishing to obtain a position in catering.  The course will provide the knowledge required to undertake and contribute to the safety of food.  The course covers a defined syllabus and is assessed by a short objective test consisting of 30 multiple choice questions.  Oral tests are available to ensure that candidates with learning difficulties or disabilities can also access the training and achieve success.  The course can be delivered at any office providing there is a suitable room or we are able to offer training at a selected venue.  The course lasts one day and handouts will be provided.
